GETTING TO ASPEN
CAR
Visitors can easily take ground transportation from Denver International Airport (DIA) to Aspen Snowmass via via two main routes. Via I-70 west to Glenwood Springs, then CO-82 southeast into Aspen or I-70 west to CO-91 near Copper Mountain, then continue via US-24 and CO-82 over Independence Pass into Aspen
PLANE
There are a few airports that service the Aspen area, including Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE) or nearby Colorado airports such as Denver International Airport (DEN), Eagle County Airport (EGE), and Grand Junction Airport (GJT).
SHUTTLES
Roundtrip and one-way shuttle passes to and from Denver to the Roaring Fork Valley can be purchased on our website. For more information please see our Shuttles Page.
GETTING TO THE FESTIVAL
SHUTTLES
There are Wagner Park, Snowmass, and Brush Creek Park & Ride shuttle services available for all Ticketholders. All shuttles are complimentary and run continuously throughout the duration of the festival.

RIDESHARE/DROP-OFF
Our official passenger drop off and pick up location is: 38700 CO-82, Aspen, CO, 81611
Please follow festival signage and festival staff when turning onto Buttermilk off of Owl Creek Rd staff will direct you to the appropriate lot.
Drivers, please have your rideshare placard displayed to enter this pick up and drop off area.
DRIVING/PARKING
There is no parking available at the festival. Visit the City of Aspen’s website for more information on parking in the Downtown Core, Residential areas, the Rio Grande Parking Garage and the Brush Creek Park & Ride locations.
WALKING
FROM ASPEN (Paepcke Park to Buttermilk) – Approx. 3 miles
Take the Marolt Trail from the west end of Hopkins Avenue, connecting to the ABC Trail. Follow signage along the bike path toward the intersection of Highway 82 and Owl Creek Road. At this intersection, dismount and wait for safety personnel to assist you in crossing. Once across, follow event signage to the bike valet area, where staff will help you check your bike free of charge.
FROM SNOWMASS (Anderson Ranch Arts Center to Buttermilk) – Approx. 7 miles
From Anderson Ranch, follow the paved Owl Creek Trail toward Aspen. The trail leads to an underpass at Highway 82. After passing through, turn onto the ABC Trail and continue to the Highway 82 / Owl Creek Road intersection. Dismount and wait for staff to assist you in crossing safely, then follow signs to the bike valet area.
BIKING
Complimentary bike parking at the festival is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Bike Safety Reminder: Please stay alert, ride safely, and share the road, these are public bike paths. Helmets and bike lights are strongly encouraged.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

Please view the “Burlingame/Hwy 82” transit line which provides service from Rubey Park to the Burlingame Ranch housing complex via Hwy 82. This route is a convenient option for reaching the Aspen X-Country Center or Buttermilk Mountain.

- Outbound: Departs Rubey Park at :20 & :50 from 7:20 a.m. – 12:20 a.m.
- Inbound: Departs Burlingame at :05 & :35 from 6:35 a.m. – 11:35 p.m.

FESTIVAL ENTRANCE & ADDRESS
Up in the Sky will take place August 7-8th at the base of Buttermilk mountain in Aspen, Colorado Address: 38700 HWY 82 Aspen, Colorado. The festival's doors open each day at 2pm daily.
